Mortem et Virginiana
This series captures the Old Dominion's changing attitude toward death and dying as the former Capital of the Confederacy attempts to reconcile its past with its present and future. The collection attempts to document the moments and places related to the literal death of people, as well as the figurative death of local legends. Virginia is a land of vampires, a land of ghosts, and a land of the myths that shaped America. See the feature in Yes, Poetry.
