Freshkills Park Alliance

While in graduate school, I had a two-month paid fellowship with the Freshkills Parks Alliance, a division of NYC Parks. My fellowship was funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, which allowed me to assist Dr. Cait Field in planning the 2018 Reclaimed Lands Conference at NYU ITP. This interdisciplinary conference brought together artists, architects, urban planners, scientists, and other professionals to reimagine disturbed landscapes in the New York City metropolitan area. My main accomplishments included designing conference materials (such as the program booklet), curating a video installation for the conference site, and displaying scientific posters. I also provided tech and other logistical assistance throughout the conference.
